Working to understand: underlying causes of intellectual disability (fragile x, down syndrome, autism) and related disorders, understanding the mechanisms of learning and memory, how they are disturbed in these syndromes and how stress contributes to the cognitive and behavioral disturbances in these disorders. These studies have lead to potential therapeutics strategies which we continue to investigate.
